Darin Sorrell

Darin Sorrell-Missouri

Please forgive the roughness, but I am working on moving everything from my old Geocities site.

I am a lifelong resident of Missouri, and a graduate of Windsor High School,
which is located in Imperial, Jefferson County.

member, St. Mark's Lutheran Church

In 1997, I graduated cum laude from Maryville University in St. Louis, with
a B.A. in Political Science. In 2004, I discovered that I was a member of the
Maryville University Academic Hall of Fame

In May 2000, I earned my J.D. from St. Louis Univ. Law School.
On July 25th & 26th, I took the Missouri Bar Exam, and passed with flying colors.
The best part about it was when the power went out DURING
the exam and stayed out for 45 minutes. The Illinois Bar Exam, which I took and passed in 2002, was not nearly as fun.

I am also an Eagle Scout, the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America.

Jay was a Jay-raffe for Halloween 2004.

Jay and Willy are big Cardinals fans.

On March 19th, Jay watched his 1st spring training game with Daddy. The Cardinals beat the Dodgers, 6-2.

In August 1996, I went to the University of San Diego for a conference
and met Sam Donaldson

Ron Paul for President.

I support the Moog Center for Deaf Education. Hearing a deaf child talk is incredible.

While at Maryville, nearly everyone would try to stump me on
the Kevin Bacon game; but it was very rare that anyone could.
I officially retired from playing said game after discovering this site,
which is the only entity that I know of that is better than I--even
though it is a computer. I had to rely on memory.... Que Sera, Sera.
I agree with Mr. Wint from Diamonds Are Forever:
"One is never too old to learn from a master."

Of course, bear in mind that I can be linked to Kevin Bacon in 5 steps:

Check out the Web page of one of my U.S. Senators,
Mr. Bond, "Kit" Bond (no relation to 007).
Take a look at just how big the U.S. National Debt is.

Read the Gettysburg Address.

Take the WORLD'S SMALLEST POLITICAL QUIZ and see if
you're a Libertarian like me.

Those who know me (and my clean-cut image)
may be shocked to find that I
favor the legalization of Marijuana
(and most other drugs) for all purposes, even though
I would not use them if they were legal. I only want
to legalize them to free up a whole bunch of prison
cells, and use those cells to house real
criminals--those who deprive others of life,
liberty or property. Prohibition is a trigger of
crime (See, e.g., how re-legalization of alcohol
cut down on Al Capone's influence and the crime
rate in general). It is a waste of resources
(cops' time and money, as well as prison cells)
to interfere with someone's peaceful pursuit of
happiness.
Just to clarify, I am NOT advocating the use of
drugs that are currently illegal, I am simply asking
people to rethink the supposed "logic" behind the
criminalization of said toxins, much like the beer industry
likely did during the reign of terror following the 18th
Amendment (1919-1933).
